Job Purpose
To serve as the first point of contact for prospective students, providing critical information and guiding them through the initial stages of their educational journey. This role is central to converting inquiries into applications and supporting the student registration process.
Key Responsibilities
Telesales and Student Engagement:
· Proactively contact prospective students via telephone within a 24-hour target.
· Assess whether applicants meet the entry requirements for their chosen programme.
· Recommend alternative courses if a student does not meet initial criteria.
· Discuss course details comprehensively to inform and motivate prospective students.
· Manage and improve the lead-to-application conversion rate as defined by the Head of Student Recruitment.
· Address student queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
· Clearly communicate application and registration deadlines.
Administrative Support:
· Accurately capture and maintain student details in the central database (SIMS).
· Schedule consultations for the Distance Student Advisors.
· Perform confirmation and appointment rescheduling calls.
· Assist the student recruitment team with post-application tasks, including payment follow-ups and document collection.
· Support the Head of Student Recruitment with general administrative and marketing duties.
Qualifications and Experience
· Minimum Qualification: A National Senior Certificate (Matric) is essential. A relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous but not required.
· Minimum Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a Sales, Administrative, Marketing, Customer Service, or Telemarketing role.

· Strong organisational and administrative capabilities.
